In 1963 when Enzo Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell Ferrari to Ford. The embers of past bruises, losses of a friend and a desire to win big on the track drove Shelby and Ford to build cars to beat Ferrari on an international stage.

Since 1969 we have been fans of Carroll Shelby, Dan Gurney and Parnelli Jones. We grew up in Southern California in this era and near where all of this magic was born. We have been blessed with having met and befriended many of the men in these photos.
